The Friends of the Seattle Public Library (“Friends” or “We” or “Us”) are committed to responsible information handling practices. You can visit most pages on www.friendsofspl.org without giving us any information about yourself, but sometimes we need information to provide information or services that you request. This Privacy Policy explains data collection and use in those situations. By visiting www.friendsofspl.org, you consent to the information practices described in this Privacy Policy.


WHAT TYPE OF INFORMATION IS COLLECTED AND HOW IS IT USED?

We do not collect any personally identifying information, unless you provide it to us voluntarily. The information you provide us is used for our work to support the Library.

Generally, our uses of such personal information collected online include, without limitation, enabling you to make a donation, or providing information, such as sending informational communications and newsletters.

The personal information collected by the Friends is shared with The Seattle Public Library Foundation, who provides administrative support to the Friends, and, if you make a donation or purchase a membership, with GeoTrust who processes those transactions. We do not rent, sell, or trade your personal information to any other outside company or organization.
