*While we appreciate all donations, we kindly ask that you check your books for mold, broken spines, water damage, stains, torn pages and other damage before including them in your donation.

Our offices are located at 2025 9th Ave., we are on the 2nd floor of the Washington Talking Book & Braille Library building on the corner of 9th Ave. and Lenora St.. For a map to our offices, please click here.

To drop off a donation, take a right into our parking garage off of 9th Ave. between Lenora St. and Virginia St. Once you enter, head straight back towards the loading dock. As you head towards the loading dock look to your right. Our door is usually hidden between two Library trucks. Pull into an adjacent space and ring the bell to the left of our door (PLEASE do not ring the bell at the loading dock - that is for WTBBL). We will come out with a cart and pick your donation up. Please note that our facility is large and it may take us a few moments to get to the door. If you have any question or need more information please call us at (206) 682-7567.

Donations may be dropped off on:

  • Thursdays from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  • Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
*If you have 3 or fewer boxes or bags to donate, you can drop them off at your neighborhood branch of The Seattle Public Library. For branch locations and hours of operations, please visit:

Please note:  We are unable to pick up donations at this time.  All donations are tax-deductible! The Friends of The Seattle Public Library is a 501(c)3, nonprofit organization. We are more than happy to issue you a receipt for your donation.
