We run a busy operation here at Friends of The Seattle Public Library and we need all kinds of help to process the high volume of books and other materials that we receive every week. Our daily to-do list includes a variety of interesting tasks such as scanning, sorting, boxing and more. Although some of our jobs may require slightly heavy lifting, we can happily accommodate anyone who is unable to do so. We like to think we have a job for every sensibility and capability. We work hard around here but we also have a lot of fun. We offer a bright, comfortable and upbeat environment, a friendly staff to assist you, fresh coffee and snacks and most of all, our deepest gratitude. Volunteers are critical to our mission and we make every effort to assure that your time with us is enjoyable.
*Please note, due to the high volume of interested volunteers, we are presently in a holding pattern as we adjust our schedule and determine where we still have openings to fill. We encourage all interested volunteers to complete an application with us. We will follow-up when we have opportunities available. In addition to help at our operations facility, we will also be recruiting volunteers for our BIG Fall Sale, which is scheudled for September 12-14th at Magnuson Park.
If you would like to volunteer with us, please download and complete this application.
